Scud Hunters

Posted in Military Impressions on August 6, 2008 by stukaph

Impression was inspired by the 1st Special Forces Operation Detachment-Delta (SFOD-D) during the 1991 OP: Desert Storm. The U.S. Army’s Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (SFOD-D), better known as Delta Force, and the British Special Air Service (SAS) were selected to operate behind enemy lines. Reconnaissance and surveillance teams went hundreds of miles inside western Iraq and attacked the SCUD infrastructure. The U.S. element was assigned as its hunting ground the area northwest of Highway 10 near Al Qaim, Iraq known as “Scud Boulevard”.

In humble silence…

“In humble silence lies a team of warriors”….. a catchphrase on one of the poster that portrays the Philippine Naval Special Operations Group (NAVSOG). The concept of the impression in this photo was inspired by this special breed of men of the Philippine Navy Seals also known by their foreign counterparts and in their brotherhood as “RP Seals” or “PH Seals”.
